@TheDetective To be clear, you do NOT have to re-subscribe to keep the downloaded DLC. Activision made it clear that any content downloaded under the subscription plan would stay playable, even if you discontinue the subscription. I didn't find a good way to include that in the post, but it's not like they're holding your content hostage.

CCP shares big plans for Dust 514 and EVE Online at E3

@Mastercuddles I asked them about bringing it to the PC, but they told me the goal here is to get a brand new audience interested in the game. It's specifically meant to get non-PC, console folks to play it, not just EVE players who also like shooters.

@BloodShotRobot Yes, you can browse online games, and it will be out on Steam as well, so you can play with friends through there as usual.

@JRock3x8 I lived in Chicago for about six years (Wicker Park and then Lakeview), and based on my extensive time downtown, they got parts of the Loop and Lower Wacker Drive very right. It doesn't seem like a real 1:1 copy, but real landmarks are there (you can see the Board of Trade above) and the feel and look of Chicago at night is matched up very well.

Keep in mind, though, that the game takes place across the whole country, from SF to New York, so the Chicago section is really only this one part.

Mass Effect 3 preview: Run and gun

@eatmyasia I asked if the Omniblade was instakill, and got a sort of apathetic nod, which usually means there's something there that isn't supposed to be revealed to the press yet. My guess (guess!) is that it is instakill for most early enemies, but later enemies will have qualities that make strong melee attacks difficult sometimes.

@Mehbah This preview was specifically for a section of the game that showed combat only. As I said in the preview above, BioWare also wants to increase the "RPG" elements of the game. Stay tuned for more on those later on this week.

Your taste in video games seems great. But your taste in alcohol needs work, my friend.
