Jul 17th 2009 8:29PM (Massively)And Playing WoW for a month + before getting to level 80 when the fun starts is ok?
I'd personally say I found it more like 5-10 hours in DF for the real fun to begin, which is proberbly one of the quickest for MMO's ive tried (i.e. your not grinding to a end game, your not forced to do quest after quest and so on)
Eurogamer finally posts Darkfall re-review, game now 4/10
Jul 17th 2009 8:21PM (Massively)Darkfall isnt for everyone, and there are lots of us that do enjoy the game, myself included.
The review is pre-expansion for one, which has made a good few changes to the game.
It's just a shame that people "label" a game as being utter garbage or similar (see above), rather than taking the more mature & sensible approach of "This game isnt for me, others may like it"
And, for the record. The game WAS fun for me from the beginning. Im a player who didnt exploit, didnt macro and so on - Yet I still had fun.
(Should proberbly be noted that as far as MMO's go, I hate WoW and all WoW clones, therefore may explain why the vast majoritiy wont give Darkfall a chance)
The Daily Grind: Have you re-rolled on Darkfall's NA server?
Jul 15th 2009 3:18PM (Massively)The Daily Grind: Have you re-rolled on Darkfall's NA server?
Jul 15th 2009 11:28AM (Massively)DF's latest round of patchs have really improved the game for the better, and its most certianally no-longer a paid-beta.
As for the NA server, and having to buy the NA copy if you've been playing on the EU, then im sorry, but this is your own fault. It was always billed as a EU launch - always.
I should remind you all that If i was to buy say, World of Warcraft EU, and then wanted to play on a US server, id have to go buy it - again. Same with every other MMO, and DF simply follows the trend.
Besides, for those that do enjoy the game and do wish to move, wait for the transfers, rather than buying it again!
