Feb 8th 2011 1:46PM (TUAW.com)Back on topic, I've been using Missing Sync with great success. Its a little steep in price, but you can get cheap plugins for virtually any device once you pay the initial price.
Also Winamp has a syncing beta going on, but you'd have to ditch iTunes.

Sep 30th 2010 9:09PM (TUAW.com)With Android you can control cursor position with you fingers (iPhone-like) or move a trackball around. The iPad doesn't have a trackball/trackpad so the guy in the video is fumbling around trying to move the cursor with his finger. On top of that, Engadget reported that touch calibration wan't finished, so that may be complicating the problem.

Jul 17th 2010 10:17AM (TUAW.com)Oh wow. The finder actually did make alot of effort to see if this was Apple property. His call logs to Applecare were posted (Apple care rep did confirm that he called, but their own restrictions prohibited them from investigating this further up in apple)\
He called apple and tried to get connected to Gary (Wasn't that his name?) Apple won't connect anyone without an appointment. (The finder was able to use the phone before it was locked the next day and saw his facebook profile)
He brought it to a genus bar, but that obviously didn't go anywhere.
I really have no big stance on this issue, but alot of people are jumping to their own conclusions due to not knowing the details.
