@(Unverified) Drew left because he is a writer, and is actually taking a break from the gaming industry all together. The other three does not even start to make up a big part of BioWare's team. Keeping in mind that for most developers, after launch the team gets down-sized. This was not the case with TOR, as the entire team that was there for development, is still working on the game.

The game industry has a way of people constantly changing hands. You do not get a job at Blizzard or BioWare and stay for the next 25 years (Some do, but the majority do not). It is very much project based, you complete one or fulfill your role and you move on.

Do people forget that Gordon Walton left BioWare a year or two ago as well? He was one of the main guys that was behind getting TOR up and running and left to work at a friends company.

Now if EA announced massive layoffs, that would be a warning sign, but three or four people leaving? Hardly.

Sounds like the Steam Wallet to me. Now if Blizzard started adding items (Weapons/Armor) to a shop and for you to buy, that would be different. I do not really count D3 in that example though.

@Lenn No it is true. This is how retail works, you may get an item in early, but you are not suppose to sell the product until the given day. In most cases, games in NA come out on Tuesday, but not all. In Europe that is Thursday or Friday, I am pretty confident that the sales clerk at some store has no idea how the system works. It does not really matter JoeEnglish gets his game on that Wednesday, the EU servers would not even be up (Though you can choose between EU and NA servers freely)

@Azev I played this game at PAX East and fell in love with it right away. I got to chat (While playing) with one of the art directors and the whole team is very chill. If you like TF2 and if you liked Global Agenda at all, this game is the baby that formed from them.

@(Unverified) Well the servers are still up, so they have to be making enough to cover that and the rest of their bills.

@SiML We know it will be sub-based, we know you can pay with a CC or through PayPal, we also know TOR will offer 60 day game cards. The price of which are typically 30 bucks. TOR will have the standard MMO monthly-fee, EA would not make that higher as it is an industry standard.

@Nepentheia While everything is subject to change, I do not think they would take the feature out completely. Yes it can be a pain to deal with, but if it is limited, it still provides that freedom for players. Not like there is anything stopping you from creating a character on the opposite faction and just messaging/PMing people that way.

I believe Ohlen meant no cross-faction chat via chat channels. It was confirmed earlier that you could talk with the opposing faction but only using /say

You cannot really have abuse in /say as all you need to do is get out of range. The chat feature could also be disabled in Warzones, or areas of high congestion. This way it would cut down on spam from either side.
