I can see plenty of issues with player-generated content and player-named items. Cue the Labrynth of the Giant Phallus, and the Breastplate of Penis!111One!1

There would definitely have to be some kind of quality control on player-generated content. Otherwise, these types of things would break the game's immersion to a great extent.
