It's like they said, unscientific. I personally filled up all my slots, and even deleted a couple of heroes to remake them or something different before I quit. If I had to make an unscientific guess I'd pick the number 6, which is around 166,666 accounts. You also have to take into consideration the number of the accounts that helped to create these 1,000,000 heroes which are now inactive.
I always read these articles and there's a common theme. Honesty is the best policy. Just be honest with the person without being rude. Want to change guilds, just be honest with your existing guild leader. Want someone to leave you alone, just tell them. If they act hostile or immature about it then you're better off anyway.
Ignoring, avoiding, lying and such are all terrible ways to handle relationships in WoW and in real life.
Sorry, 72 is C- and although reviews are a good indicator, they are not always accurate, and usually generalized. Also, I didn't know opinions were considered lies? This is about as bad as the official forums.
Note to self... be suspect of any MMO offering lifetime subscription before launch. I didn't buy one but looking back this had to be one of the most obvious money grabs in history. They were counting on fanbois and hype because they new the game was just, well, to be polite, not that great.
I like the idea of cross realm raids and the increased accessibility for all players. Most of the arguments against it are problems that software cannot solve i.e. people problems. You could tie the raid id to just the leader as the only one who could reform the raid.
The only thing I would suggest is to become even more granular with the LFM capability. i.e. holy priest, boomkin, etc... Anything that makes it easier for the RL to pick up people.
The content gets *very* repetitive if you ever decide to roll alts, or just can't nail down the powers you enjoy. Besides, the temptation is there to try them all, but if I have to do the tutorial/canada/desert one more time... blech
They just need to add basic guidelines for the powers/frameworks so that you do pick a defense/offense, heal, hold, etc... not force you to take them, but a mild nudge in the right direction.
For a total new player, just picking powers at random almost ensures gimpage. Then they get frustrated and have to reroll.
If it wasn't for my non-stop forum browsing I wouldn't know half the crap I know now. And half the crap on the forums is incorrect, so it's alot to wade through.
