Fallout 3 producer Ashley Chung "disappointed" with Diablo III reveal

Yup, I was a little surprised that Blizzard went with tradition over innovation on this one. But an updated D2 is still an amazing game.

Heh why would people call me that? I like lots of MMOs.

I like it a lot, plenty of potential.

I don't know what the best forums to ask these questions is (I figured this would be better than just emailing), but here are my earliest thoughts:

1) What happens when the links chosen by your guides break? On the Corvette entry, you've got a great Youtube link to a terrific Top Gear segment. But that's copyrighted, I believe, and could be pulled at any time. Are you monitoring and/or updating the result pages for broken links?

2) The search "metaphor" is genius, but I can see it getting a little hazy on more obscure stuff-- for "Corvette," it easily takes me to "Chevrolet Corvette," but when I search "Corvette Chevrolet," it finds nothing. Don't see it being a problem for the top searches, but like I said, that could hurt results on the long tail stuff.

Otherwise, I like it. Great idea, beautiful design. Can't wait to see it in action.

Bomberman Live 100% official, local multiplayer

May 16th 2007 4:09PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Jcarpio, I haven't played any Bomberman since the NES, but if this incarnation is anything like those it should be a lot of fun. You run around on a little grid, placing bombs that reach down the rows while you try to dodge the ones your opponent places and collect powerups that make the bombs bigger and give you more bombs to place.

It's all really fast and fun, kind of like an action/strategy/puzzle game.

Big Huge Games to make RPG with THQ

May 7th 2007 6:05PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Um yay? I don't know about THQ, but BHG really did a bang-up job with Catan, especially on the AI (I even noticed some sound effects from RoN reused in there). I'll play anything Brian Reynolds has a hand in.

Hmmmm... no Catan (even though that's what I played all weekend). That's not a good sign.

I didn't get BBR. I usually love rhythm games (starting with Parappa and going through Amplitude up to Guitar Hero), but BBR just doesn't do it for me (neither does DDR, come to think of it).

Crackdown, on the other hand, keeps showing up in my disc tray.

How about finally giving us the ability to get downloaded and unpurchased XBLA demos off of our achievement listings?
