MMObility: Illyriad devs shine light on HTML5

Sep 20th 2011 11:15PM (Massively)
@(Unverified)

Going with the "i" before two L's doesn't help.. but just think of it as "illy"...

Illy takes a bit of time to get into, but the welcoming and friendly community are more than willing to help you get started. The biggest problem you'll have as a new player is expanding your warehouse fast enough to hold all the incoming welcoming gifts..

The Dev's (as seen above) have set a tone in Illy that the community has picked up on. They are on Global Chat daily and are very much part of what makes Illy special.

If you have any interest in this type of game, give it a shot, play through the tutorial, and say hello to the crowd on Chat. On global you will find a group of gamers playing a game they love and wanting to do whatever they can to share that experience. Illy is about welcoming new players, teaching them the depth of the systems, not farming the new guy.

I'm stuck connecting to server as well. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate the info.

Review: Elemental: War of Magic

Sep 9th 2010 3:03AM (Big Download)
Elemental isn't for everyone, and hasn't yet lived up to it's full potential, but I love it.

This review is spot on.

If you read this review and go into the game with reasonable expectations, there is a very good chance you will be pleasantly surprised.

It's a must buy, but only a must buy with the caveats stated in the review.

The Anvil of Crom: Offline leveling? It's about bloody time

May 12th 2010 3:56AM (Massively)
I don't play the game, and I don't have a dog in this fight, so I'm not taking sides.

Would it be possible to have multiple servers with one (or more) setup to allow players to create characters of any level and with any items or equipment?

Have servers for people that want a more traditional character development RPG type play style, and other servers for very successful writers and such, that want to concentrate on certain parts of the game. If leveling offline is a step in the right direction, take the leap and just allow people to start wherever they want, with whatever items they want.

All players would have total access to all items with the exception of the Halo of Success. The Halo of Success would only be allowed to players that can check the box that states they are a success in real life. They would glow, and they would be able to float at will, to make it easier for the rest of us to admire them. It really would be a win-win situation.

Pounds to Euro.. not a huge difference.. but that's 1 Pound to 1.13 Euros..

So they were expecting about 3400 Euros and got 4000 Euros.. Not sure why they switched back and forth.. but it may confuse some of us Americans..
