@Oskiee its just an opinion. no need to downrate his comment. i wasnt a fan of the ship designs either under his watch (assuming). some of the ships are fairly hideous (not just escorts...though i fly a fleet escort, so its sort of grown on me). the gallant, envoy, imperial, nimbus, the new yellowstone, etc etc. i will say though, the odyssey turned out pretty nicely.
@(Unverified) i sent that same image to a friend to convince his wife to play. i was imagining her going "daaawwww....kitty witty...must play tera now..." will report back.
@pskfry dont mind him. he's made it a point to let people know how shit tera is every chance he gets. his obsession with it stands in contrast with his disdain for the game.
@Brockobama321 no silly youngin', it's NOT always been the case where whoever tagged a mob got the loot. that was a technique popularized by wow. believe it or not, mmo's were around before wow. i know, crazy.
fun fact, reading the article may actually prevent redundant information from being proffered.
"In 2003, a popular mod for StarCraft called Aeon of Strife (AoS) was recreated in Warcraft. After various offshoots were abandoned, the leader of the pack, DotA-Allstars, was the clear champion, fighting its way out of the pile to become one of the most popular games ever."
@aegiskros question for you then since you got your controller to work. were you able to use a thumb pad to control your camera? the one issue i had with my setup was that my triggers could pan the camera left and right, but i had no way of actually moving the camera freely without switching to the mouse. i was using a ps3 controller and motionjoy. otherwise i'd be fine with the keyboard and mouse. played surprisingly alot like an fps.
had a busy weekend, so only got to about lvl 15 or so. @duffy...i can see how ranged can be a bit slow. i played a slayer and i would definitely say its fast and fun. running around, smacking everything in a 6 foot radius...awesome. tho hmm, come to think of it, that may have contributed to unintentional kill-stealing.
game-wise, had issues with setting up a controller. in the end i switched back to keyboard and mouse, and admittedly preferred it. quests, while lacking narrative-wise, was retardedly easy to determine where to go, location of mobs to kill (little exclamation points above their head), and generally flowed easily. community-wise pretty bad. tho as was mentioned, probably people who didn't pre-order. grouped once, and the guy was super helpful. hopefully he was a better representation of those that are really interested in the game.
