I love the Night Music from Grizzly Hills. I think Blizz did an excellent job of setting the atmosphere up in Borean Tundra, Grizzly Hills and Howling Fjord: these are the 'natural' zones of Northrend, the wild areas that haven't really been tampered with, and they demonstrate the raw beauty of Northrend... which made it feel so unfortunate that Northrend had that unfortunate blight of the Lich King in Icecrown.

Flying over Borean Tundra or riding through Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills still takes my breath away, even though I have 5 85s (and a lv 83). Even though the Cataclysm zones were richly detailed in their own right and lovely, none of them give me the same feeling.

Shhh! I'm not complaining. I would much rather read sporadic columns from Archmage Pants than a truly weekly column from an inferior writer.

(Besides, the poor Archmage has like a whole litter of kids. He probably has to spend a lot of time teaching his brood to control their burgeoning powers of destruction.)

I agree with some of the points about TOR PVP: clicking people is a nightmare. When I was a lower level, I felt like I had a big problem with getting CC'd all the time but now, as a level 49 Kinetic Shadow, I have a lot of things that help me resist Crowd Control: my force run breaks snares, Resilience blocks all force and tech attacks for 5 seconds, and I have my trinket and a ton of defense. I'm an excellent ball carrier, and I started to like Huttball a hell of a lot more once I got better at it.

I loved PVP in WoW, especially leveling through Battlegrounds, but I think I've been enjoying TOR PVP more. Maybe I just love my character. I do really love the slower pace of PVP in TOR... fewer people, larger health pools, less damage. I don't miss the stunlockdead style of WoW PVP.

The rogue rotation might be significantly easier than a retadin, if the retadin rotation is as faceroll as it used to be...

This only works when you're a guy and your only use for toilet paper is wiping your butt. Me? Garrosh's face is the last thing I want rubbing up against my bits.

@(Unverified) I haven't tried the table yet but it does cost credits to remove mods on the run. I'm level 44 right now and it costs me 2000-4000 credits to remove a mod from an item.

I actually like that feature about SWTOR zones, though. In WoW, it WAS nice that I could start out on one end of the world and walk to the other, but at the same time it made the world of Azeroth feel very small: you can't walk from one end of the Earth to the other in a few hours (or 15 minutes flying).

"Mountains" in WoW are hilariously small and hilariously shaped. In TOR the terrain looks a lot more real, even in the KOTOR_style cartoonish graphics, and being able to look off into the distance and see huge mountains (like in Alderaan) makes my character feel appropriately tiny, even if I can't decide to travel to the mountain. It would be nice if TOR could be more like Skyrim, sure, with both great-looking environments AND a completely-open world, but so far I've enjoyed the environments in TOR even though I thought I wouldn't.

Perhaps they've changed this, but it used to be possible to get Wrecking Ball in a vehicle in BGs... the siege engine in Isle of Conquest was how I got mine.

North America. I doubt I'll get this, but I have a friend in mind to receive it.
