As soon as a new tier of raiding is released, then any heroic 5 mans you run will be for acquiring gear that was previously unattainable through 5 mans, i.e., justice points will be used to buy previously valor point gear. So.. eventually it will be just like Wrath. Folks will be running 5 mans to get the second highest tier of gear, whatever that may be.
"So in order to play as the borg, its going to cost me $290?"
Nope. The $290 is for a lifetime subscription, the playable borg is an add-in.
"Are you fucking serious?"
Yes.
"You people that played Champions Online found out that you could actually beat the game in less than a month, why would you spend this much money to get a game that will end fast also?"
This offer is for fans of Star Trek online, not fans of Champions Online. You could get into open beta with a 99 cent purchase from Target or one of the thousands of keys being given away online. You can then decide after playing if you enjoy it enough to make the lifetime purchase. Pretty straightforward.
"Why?!"
You care how others spend their money? Didn't think so.
"I don't understand you nerds sometimes..."
Your lack of understanding is more widespread. Also, up the valium.

Get a head start on Star Trek Online's open beta with a little help from Massively
Jan 8th 2010 3:34PM (Massively)Ask a Beta Tester: Spectral gryphons, prospecting, and portals
Nov 7th 2008 5:08PM (WoW)I think it would be appropriate to answer in the beta tester questions at some point how we should uninstall the beta client.
Wait until after the expansion?
Do it now?
Of course my fear is whenever I uninstall the client, I will end up losing some important chunk of code that will cause problems.
So if someone can get an answer on when/how to uninstall beta, it would really help us out.
Thanks
