@Courtney It might be early, but this is how it'll be in the future, in one way or another. Having expensive local hardware that gets quickly outdated is a very inefficient and cost-expensive way to handle this. Music has already moved into the cloud, movies pretty much there as well and games will soon follow. In the future, we'll all laugh on how silly it was with all these devices, discs and all other junk we had in our homes.
Not saying this will happen next year, or even the year after that, but this will happen.
@(Unverified) Actually, bootcamp isn't the only option. The game runs quite well using an emulated version of Windows, like using Parallels Desktop.
That should really be the killer for all arguments that Macs can't run games: I run Windows 7, on top of a running OSX, and I can run SWTOR at max resolution (2560x1440), max all settings except shadow and I run at 45 fps.
@Drakkenfyre You say there's a "Mac cult" but tbh, if there is, then there's one just as tiresome with Microsoft-fanboys as well. I mean, not a single Mac-gaming news can't be posted without 50% of the comments below being about how Macs shouldn't get game for whatever reasons.
It's really kinda tragic, I mean, what's it to them if some prefer Macs and developers decide to make games for them? Are they afraid that they'll stop making games for Windows?
If you check the patch notes you'll see that many classes talent trees are noted as not as finished as others. Warlocks, Druids, Paladins and DKs are among them. So expect alot of changes on their talent trees in upcoming builds.
@Dogii - At the highest point, I made about 2-2.5k gold each day selling glyphs. Then MMO and wow.com made guides on how to make profit from Glyphs and it went downwards from there :-) So glyph market was definitely profitable at one time. I think one problem with it, and I think this is one reason behind the change, is that it's really impossible to sell it very well without addons and a lot of reposting.
Wow, you really want ppl to take you seriously and hope for a good discussion when you add a flame bait as "Macs aren't a computer" The irony is, that you won't bother the Mac community that much since they are used to this sort of ignorance, but you'll will get all the 16-year old "WoHoO! PC rockz! In yer faze MAC"-kids started.
My solution to this is to reroll Worgen druid. That way I'll still shapeshift whenever I go into combat, albeit not a tree but a werewolf, but it's all I have to hope for :-P
