Hyperspace Beacon: End of beta impressions

@winterborn

Sadly, that's my opinion as well but a lot of folks seem thrilled so more power to them. And Larry... If you don't like this game, you don't like video games? I thought you were better than that. Different strokes?

Massively Speaking Episode 176: Black and Blue Friday

@Space Cobra

I kept reading about that on the forums but luckily would forget to look when I logged on. Hoping it gets fixed before I remember and can't look away hehe. My wife did something similar last week. Her- "Hey, do you hear that annoying noise?" Me- "No, what noise?" Me- "Oh. Thanks a lot."

Skyrim is getting a day one patch, more DLC than you can shake a giant sword at

Can't wait until Friday! I tend to be one of the wait for GOTY crowd too but the amount of time I'll probably put in with just the base game makes it a day 1 purchase without hesitation. Now a game like Arkham City that looks like it's going to have a million dlc's- I can wait for that.

Not So Massively Extra: Our impressions of League of Legends

@J45neoboy

I just started playing a few days ago myself and highly recommend it. The beginner 5 vs AI matches I've done so far have been very helpful but definitely do the tutorials as well. The game is definitely addictive and there's much more to it than it first appears. Nunu and Warwick are 2 great starter champs...

Skyrim: I fought the dragon and the dragon (mostly) won

I so can't decide which platform to get this on! It would be great on my giant tv and ps3 but the pc mods are usually great. I have oblivion for both ps3 and pc so I guess I'll probably do the same. Which to get first though...happy to say I don't have all that much time to decide :D

SWTOR trailer revels in the signs of war

I'll be doing the same. Not because I've been waiting forever but because I haven't been terribly impressed and I'm not willing to gamble on it. Hopefully I'll get to try it and decide pre-launch.

RIFT introduces Ashes of History edition game upgrade [Updated]

@Balraw

In all fairness, if anyone assumed that the spider would be obtainable in-game, it was only based on the fact that every other mount was obtainable in this way. Basing an assumption on every other update with no word otherwise from Trion prior to 1.5 was not that far-fetched. I like the game a lot, have been playing since pre-launch but Trion has had no trouble firing up the PR machine until suddenly there's a microtransaction on the main page.

No doubt. Trion...you're better than this.

The Soapbox: Watch out BioWare, it's a (WoW) trap!

Oct 11th 2011 2:14PM (Massively)
@Lenn

What in the Rift updates would you say has been poor quality? The game might not be for you and that's fine but I'll be mighty impressed if Bioware matches the quantity and quality of Trion's updates.

Trion CEO: RIFT has the 'most dynamic gameplay ever' and is a 'serious competitor' for WoW

One of the things I like about Trion is that they really know how to keep people talking about their games. Whether it's by pumping out steady content or releasing press pieces, these guys are probably better than anyone else in a marketing sense.
