LoL isn't an MMO, it's an RTS. It's basically a stand-alone version of a Warcraft 3 mod. You start in a lobby where you can make a game or join one. You do get to select a hero to play as and level/gear up. But each game you start at level 1. The whole point is to push into the enemies base and destroy their main building.

I DLed the game, patched it, only to find that my account wasn't
