i just started playing STO this weekend. Cryptic left a sour shit like taste in my mouth after champions online, and i was never a huge trek fan, altho my parents loved it. (i know enough that Picard is a BOSS. , hahaha, and who borgs are.)

WOW i have to say space combat is very fun. Ive always felt that space combat will more then likely work how it does in STO- an almost colonial naval battles where aft and fore weapons and the turning of ships is Capitol to success.

ground combat is...somewhat awkward. i turned it into a shooter style and have come to like it. Crafting is awkward, but the Duty officers is an improved form of SWTOR's missions system (which made me fall out of my chair laughing)


fun game, with a great amount of customization , and GREAT stories and missions, even for casual fans of the franchise

I am looking forward to the new item Riot made. should make buisers even more fun :D

the only thing i dont like about dominion is how strong certain champions' play kits are on the map. Rammus for example is God tier on the map. same could be said for shen or panthion if used correctly.

@scfs123 these dudes have the best dodge animation in the game tho. try out a slayer - the 2-h sword user. and watch him use his sword to pull-vault over mobs heads.

i was a huge supporter of this game but after seeing how crapy the legacy system is going to be, i am happy that im no longer playing this game.... the raids really suck...they are not fun. bioware decided that to make fights hard, their should be RNG parts of raids that can completely fuck your group (soa, bonenasher pre nerf, ect)

iilum is a dead planet now.

the new ability ideas are dumb...they are 30 min CD skills that u ahve to have your companion out to use . i hope they regen your Hp like the heroic moments you get or they are useless . woop de doo. lol

i'd love to say this game can come back but its lose-lose. Appeal to the hardcore raiders be pumping out compelling and challenging raids, and you are going to lose casuals.

appeal to the casuals with the "be any race" legacy system and andd you lose alot of RP players and the raiders will leave your game once something better comes along


glad i already bought Tera. game is so much more fun.

the 'revelations' about the Diablo3 selling points and the fees is sure to drive away alot of the opportunists....we will see people only able to sell the very rare items

@(Unverified) just like everquest and Eve , COH owes alot of to the players of this game. the have extremely loyal players who love the devs and the game world, and in alot of cases spent years in these games.


after a certain point, when the game is past its prime by most standards but still striving harder and harder it needs to take a step back and tell its players " We fucking love you guys."

@Anatidae no i ment literally differnet look for all armor. Baraka are full armored with more of a realistic flare, while Castanic armor is very flashy and sexual ( i think its actually in thier lore they are sexy and they know it :P )

The elin are weird, and not everyone will like it, but Little girls with huge weapons is a very eastern appeal and i can see why. i almost made a Slayer (2h sword user) elin simple because the animations for them are awesome.. i dont find it offensive at all to be honest, and i showed it to my sister (16) and she said she really loved the idea of playing a chick with a huge weapon.

i had so much fun in closed beta as a Lancer. Besides the fact that the lance is an amazing weapon ! its so well animated and realistic feeling !

lancer's dps out put is understandably low, but the amount of skill and timing you need really stand out from other mmo experiances.

my friend played a archer and he was hooked after 15 mins. he was so enthusiastic about aiming his piercing shot and avoiding damage with well timed dodges.
