Ex-APB devs take shots at Realtime Worlds

Aug 25th 2010 8:47PM (Massively)
"Then a few things happened. Facebook. Farmville. The iPhone. Nintendo's resurgence. Casual gaming. Free-to-play. It started to feel like Realtime Worlds was a massive dinosaur, building these massive things that nobody wanted,"

...and without realizing it, he just described the state of the MMO genre for the past few years as well as the forseeable future....

The Daily Grind: What's your MMO fear?

Aug 17th 2010 10:26AM (Massively)
My fear is that eventually more game companies will start to take the concerns seriously, of a very vocal minority that are so obsessed with a gaming genre that, even when not playing it, must sit and talk about it with strangers online. That is opposed to say, making games that somewhat -normal- people would want to play.

@DaHarder

Every time Microsoft has deviated from numbering their releases (Millennium Edition, Vista etc), the end result has sucked. Let them stick with the numbers, please.

Unearthed Microsoft emails reveal reaction to iTunes launch, make us giddy for MWC

@7egend

Neither have I. I have a Zune HD 32, and my wife has an iPod. iTunes works fine, and the Zune software just seems like another attempt at Microsoft trying to be 'hip', and falling flat on their faces. Again.

If the general public doesn't notice all the "bugs, problems or computer usage"...then how bad can they really be? Unless you're one of those people looking to...oh...I dunno...nitpick every little detail about something trying to frantically find a fault...
