I actually met my wife in Maple Story, but for a considerable amount of years before we decided to live together and get married we'd play Guild Wars and WoW (mostly WoW).
But yea, it's important you have more common interests than games.

It would would way out there for a Pandaren to join say... The Twilight Hammer Cult but you never know now they've seen the big wide world now, it'll probably happen sooner than later.
Balance is hard to keep when the new world around you is full of chaos.
I'll be avoiding playing beta, I want to keep the game somewhat fresh for when it comes to me. That doesn't mean I'll not be looking at info on the web though. It's never the same as actually playing so I have that at least.
I have plenty of things to be doing in game to keep me entertained!
