The Daily Grind: Profiting from mods?

They should just sell the tools out to developers so they can create mods and charge for them like game engines.

Major nerf of ECM ships coming to EVE Online

Mar 25th 2009 4:27AM (Massively)
My problem is the ships can't fight on their own and win because of the skill of the player. Instead you need to have a gang of players to be effective and if you're alone and get jumped by a group then you have no chance. However in games like WoW or CS for example they are much more fun because one guy can take on a group of 4 or so and win cause he's much better then them. In EVE they tackle you and send in the recon ship and you can do shit all and it just isn't any fun.

Generic name for a generic looking title...... how do they expect anyone to be getting excited over it?

The Daily Grind: Do you like cel-shaded MMO graphics?

Mar 24th 2009 8:34AM (Massively)
The only game that has done cell shading right is Zelda: Wind Waker and every other game I've played with Cell Shading it just felt out of place and not done very well.

EVE Evolved: Have wormholes revitalised EVE?

Mar 23rd 2009 12:06PM (Massively)
Yes cause Agent Missions and mining is fun :\ Waiting for skills to train is fun :\ Gate camping is fun :\ taking a year to travel anywhere is fun :\ Combat takes no skill and it is just about how many ships you throw at something so everyone has 1000 ALTS.... real fun.

All people do in EVE anyways is buy isk to get anywhere off all the people in 0.0 who're farming non stop so all the belts r dry

EVE Evolved: Have wormholes revitalised EVE?

What would fix EVE for me...

- WASD movement so PVP takes skill and you can only fly one ship at once. This way people can't use ALT accounts to win in PVP cause that is lame.

- Stop the ability to legally buy ISK cause the game is just about how much real life money you have.

- Make it so you progress your skills via playing the game rather than logging off and waiting.

- stop lame gate camping

- put in battlegrounds for fair competetive ranked fights

- get rid of all repetitive boring tasks like agent missions and mining cause im sorry but if you find them fun then you're really sad and need to get outta the house.

Old Republic's Bounty Hunter class detailed with screens, art and video clips

Mar 21st 2009 6:00AM (Massively)
I have no problems with MT aslong as...

1. Theres no subscription
2. You can get it all via playing the game

Where SWG pissed me off is all the kool new stuff is TCG only and you can't get them via playing the game and it's like how about some content for the actual people who pay a monthly sub?

Onto the actual footage however.... I think for a 09/10 game it looks really dated, I mean the draw distance and view distance is pathetic and it looks no better than SWG apart from better particle effects and lighting.

I also hate the art style because it doens't feel like Star Wars and that Bounty Hunter armour just looks like a mess.

What made Star Wars great is everything felt used and real but this look it all feels brand new. The thing is you can't build massive worlds over night so having the reason that it's set thousands of years before the original isn't an excuse. It's to attract kids and no other reason.
