Agree with the majority (So far) a 40k game CANNOT be multiple races divided into 2 factions. There is no WAY you can pull that off without raping the lore.
On the topic of GW2 I think people are overhyping the "revolutionary" aspects. It might work good, it might not. People might like it, they might not.
I hope it is good and carves out its own neiche, but honestly there is no way to tell until it's out. Have we not learned this after a decade of bitter experience?
@Jade Effect maybe you will be surprised, when I was playing WoW right after the 4.0 patch a good 20% of the DPS learned to shelter under the big glowing bubble after only 10-12 deaths!
The other 80% just had to content themselves by calling me the worst healer ever.........
I for one am going to be rather Doom and Gloom about this. Jagex has gone from one of the most accountable game developers to one of the sleaziest in a matter of two years. Anyone who thinks the RS referendum wasn't bias towards an update that had obviously been in the works for months is an idiot.
Hell they even had teeshirts and ball caps made up to celebrate the occation.
As far as there being less"repeat offenders" when it comes to botting that is an out and out lie. There are easily five times the number of botters there were six months ago. You go onto some of the seedier runescape forums and you see loads of people laughing about how they only got their stats rolled back and are free to try again.
Too bad Jagex have completely sold out their hard stance on cheating. They used to permabann anyone who botted. Now they just reduce their stats. Don't even take away the gold they earned.
Besides that I'd say Runescape's poor reputation among gaming circles stems completely from the fact that it uses incredibly simplistic and archaic mechanics and has a soul crushing grind.
I think most experienced gamers want some sort of challenge or at the very least entertainment. Runescape has none of the first and precious little of the second.

Still if SWTOR somehow revolutionizes the formula (haha) the way they say they will its going to be epic.
