Until MMOs change their design philosophies, it doesn't really matter what new theme they adapt into the genre, it'll all still be the same, only with a different shell.

Once mainstream MMOs become more player-driven, sandbox-oriented and challenging like EVE Online, then I wouldn't mind a wild west MMO.

The creator of EVE Online is working on an MMO based on the World of Darkness franchise.

And Shane Lacey Hensley is producing a Deadlands MMO with Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment.
