Another round of Star Wars: The Old Republic questions answered by the developers
Feb 27th 2012 3:39PM (Massively)Lag can be an issue, some areas are ghost towns, there feels like a need for server transfers (I think addressed), and all in all it is good, but lag CAN be an issue.
I don't much care if Bioware is amazing or sucks, I just hope for good playable areas and decent dialogue/storyline.
Oh, and anyone saying areas with players being lagfest, WoW is frought with it. I know, like many, I had been playing forever (Cata broke my will).

Feb 10th 2012 5:05PM (Massively)Why does it even matter? Am I the only one that is a christian and not a right wing nut job. Or wait, is it a sweeping generalization? Cause those are SOOO great...

Feb 10th 2012 5:02PM (Massively)Huh, didn't get the memo.
'Cause I don't care. Wait, should I?

The Daily Grind: How often do you upgrade your gaming PC?
Aug 7th 2010 11:33AM (Massively)At first, I had a Core2Duo, so I swapped the Mobo and CPU for a phenom x4 BE, then bought a new case, then got more ram (8 GB).
Then a Caviar Black (HDD 1TB, selling it on eBay now funny enough)
Upgraded the Caviar Black for 2x Velociraptors when the price dropped at BestBuy (went down to something like $120 USD from $300).
Had a 9800 GTS, upgraded that to a 4870 HD 512MB.
I apparently got bit by the hardware bug, and about 3 years ago (2.5 yrs maybe?) my system was somewhat top of the line, but now my needs have changed.
SOOooo, I am selling it off in pieces on eBay and going intel (hackintosh mayhaps), but buying in a lower bracket on budget, one piece at a time (where possible. Memory is different type, Mobo/Chip/Ram usually all upgraded @ same time). Though keeping my Soprano S Thermaltake case. Maybe get a better PSU.
Not all at once, more like over the next year and a half. I upgrade in bits. I get bored easily.
EVE Evolved: Dissent in the EVE community
Aug 2nd 2010 12:31PM (Massively)Breakfast Topic: When a character just doesn't click
Jul 22nd 2010 9:45AM (WoW)Shammy/DK/Priest.
The only thing I do now is farm badges (Of Triumph) that I downgrade to get Heriloom thingies with my priest.
It took me maybe a week on my schedule to get my warrior (Furry) to 30 where it took me slowly about 5 years to get my priest to 80 (Got bored far too often).
Healing in order to get badges becomes loathesum. The sole benefit is the almost insta queueing. So much so that he is at as highof a GS (yes yes I know, BOOOooo), as DPS than he is a healer.
Wrath Retrospective: What we learned from death knights, page 2
Jun 23rd 2010 1:38PM (WoW)OOOhhhh they soo do me though... Wait that didn't sound right... Meh
They are the thing that I am gonna spend on (race changes).
I have my DK/Shammy/Warrior to decide between. Don't remember if they can be priests, but if so, I might knock one out a month and see how I feel about it. The little car alone will be l33t :D
I know they are like gnomes in that they are smaaaal, but they are green!

Wrath Retrospective: What we learned from death knights, page 2
Jun 23rd 2010 9:47AM (WoW)I know holy is superior for raiding per common conventions/opinions/methods/etc, but the blood tree has handy utility as it stands now for survivability in PVP.
The frost tree had mechanics that were interesting, but when tanking in it, threat felt like a struggle (at least while tanking in PUGs while lvling to 80).
I enjoy some of the mechanics of unholy, but blood is my fav't spec, and is what I am sure allot of us might want to lvl with (low amount of downtime).
I know it is the self healing utility that makes blood tanking so viable and preferred, but the ability to single target DPS and keep topped off was handy. I found that when a whipe was occuring in a PUG, I was one of the ppl the healer didn't have to worry about (too much).
Just my thoughts, and I am optomistic about blood being a tank spec, but it hinges largely on how they will execute it.
Great article btw! I started reading somewhat sceptically, and came away thoughtful.
