Erm, the only instancing will be for your personal area in your home city, dungeons, and battlegrounds AFAIK. And the reason jumping has been brought up is because the original Guild Wars did NOT have jumping and actually IS heavily instanced. So a lot of GW fans were curious if GW2 would be different in those aspects - which it is.
They are proud about their swimming system, and rightfully so. They have developed a completely unique play style underwater - no breath bar, your weapons change, your skills change, and the mobs you fight change their tactics as well. Not to mention there will be underwater exploration and entire cities to discover.
You don't see any reason for all the excitement because you obviously don't know much about the game. Judging the entire game by this one video won't tell you much.
I wouldn't mind paying a sub for Runes of Magic if it meant they focused their attentions on fixing their countless number of bugs and issues with the game, rather than on what in the cash shop they should put on sale next.
The client is so poorly coded... they should start there.
Actually, this was a long time coming. Considering how many Brazilians play WoW. It has gotten to the point where certain servers (i.e. Warsong, Gurubashi) are almost dominated by Brazilians and all you see in chat is Portuguese.
@j1083 If you're referring to the dungeon finder, then Rift sure is lucky that all they have to do is copy/paste from WoW. Even their 7-times-a-week rather than once daily rewards is ripped straight from a recent WoW update.
That was just Swag speculating on how the triple class system would work. On the forums he admitted that he may have misinterpreted it as triple class already exists on other versions of the game and is essentially the same as it is now (Choose your primary from 3 classes, then choose your secondary from the remaining 2 classes).
