Asheron's Call. It was my first MMO, and it's wide open world was the nothing like the theme park MMOs that the genre has devolved into. It was beautiful... *sniff*
@(Unverified) Simple version: Pathfinder is identical to Dungeons and Dragons 3.5.
Not so simple version: When WotC decided that D&D needed to drop the roleplaying from it's game and focus more on the combat (with mmo-like mechanics) in 4.0, a lot of people were displeased and felt that 3.5 was a better system. Fortunately 3.5 was "open license", so the Pathfinder people basically remade D&D 3.5 and renamed it Pathfinder. Outside of the name and the setting, it's identical to D&D 3.5, all the classic monsters, classic classes, classic rules, everything.
I'm absolutely loving everything I've read in this blog.
Now if they come out and say that they'll be allowing some monster races as playable races (Kobolds, Goblins, Gnolls, Orcs, Lizardmen, etc) I'm in. Heck, I'll promise right here and now to buy whatever collector's edition they offer
On their website, their headline banner has a Lizardman leaping at an adventurer. I want to be that Lizardman.
Dear Bill Roper, We encourage you to enter a field of employment more suited to someone with your talents. Potential suggestions would be janitorial work or fast food cook. You may also be a good fit for the exciting field of grocery store bagging. Sincerely, Everyone.
I want to see indepth descriptions for each class and race in the game. The number of MMO sites that don't have that boggles my mind.
Honestly, if a game doesn't have the time to tell me about it's races and classes beyond a single image and a single paragraph, I don't have the time to bother trying their game.
Every adult should have the freedom to love any other consenting adult they choose. To place restrictions on that is to place restrictions on a basic freedom, and that's just wrong (and unamerican).
