But over the last couple days, the US team (Square Enix) has shown they are unwilling to deal with botters, basically sending this game down the toilet fast.
@Rialle Just because people are willing to pay for it for the short term doesn't make it a good mmo in the long run. In fact, I hesitate to even call it an mmo due to it's "on rails" nature. I would reserve the "massively" part of the name for games that have truely open worlds.
I was extremely excited for Guild Wars 2 a couple years ago when it was announced.
But the time since then has eroded my interest to the point where I usually don't even click articles related to it anymore. Is it supposed to launch soon?
Yeah, I'm not gonna vote on this because they're both bad.
The MMO genre was supposed to be about living in virtual worlds, not taking a guided tour along a path. The current MMOs are like an old school NES side scroller. You go in one direction, and jump when you're supposed to jump. That's it.
Open worlds, preferably skill based instead of level based. That's what I prefer.
Prime World charges women less to play, 'protects' them in mixed groups [Updated]
Apr 3rd 2012 10:51AM (Massively)Which technically is sexual discrimination.
But since the girls get cheap drinks and the guys get liquored up girls, nobody complains.
The Daily Grind: Which MMO doesn't get the respect it deserves?

Apr 3rd 2012 9:55AM (Massively)I won't even go into that because it's just ridiculous.
Beyond that, what's to keep someone from just making a fake female facebook profile to get all the goodies?
This whole idea sounds horribly horribly flawed.
World of Warplanes is adding dragons for that extra kick of historical accuracy
Mar 30th 2012 12:17PM (Massively)I would lifetime subscribe, buy a fortune from their Cash shop, etc, etc.
Even if everyone just ended up playing dragons... Dragon aerial combat would still make for an amazing game.
Why I Play: EVE Online
Mar 28th 2012 6:10PM (Massively)It's a fun sandbox mmo with "Tactics style" gameplay.
But don't be fooled by it's "Free to play" BS, you need to pay 6$ to really play.
Massively Exclusive: Make your nation proud with Wakfu's newest dev diary
Mar 13th 2012 12:06AM (Massively)There are 4 nations, not 7.
Ogrest did not use the 6 Wakfu's to destroy the world, he did that just with his grief at being betrayed.
Ahem, anyway, this is an amazingly fun game, and my new favorite MMO. It is a sandbox paradise.
