Clearly the only developer with the resources, dedication and polish to make Blizzard pay attention. I love WoW, don't get me wrong, but this genre needs some genuine competition. And no... the half a million other MMO's and pseudo-MMO's out there with a combined 9% market share don't qualify as "genuine competition" and I don't see that they will. Just my $0.02.
I second the statements about a severe reduction in the drop rate for Mana Remnants coinciding apparently with the opening of the Armory. Perhaps the Armory and Mana Remnant drop rate is a coincidence just on Malfurion... is that the case w/ you all or was it a yesterday thing for everyone regardless of the phase of the war effort?
(And the other 9,999,752 WoW players worldwide are paying for you to be here... cool eh?)
--------------------------------------------
Please... it's already a blatant insult that I'm paying so the elite few (i.e. unemployed, basement dwelling, port-a-potty jockies) can run instances that the VAST, majority of players will never, ever even glimpse from the inside.
What drivel... got anymore bright ideas in that sinkhole where your gray matter used to be Mongo??
It seems to me that we're having some confusion regarding this class called "Healers". Yes, you all see where I'm going by now I'm sure... there is no "Healers" class. Once that revelation is absorbed then maybe we can manage some sensible discussion I hope.
Now my experience with healing classes is comprised of my 70 Holy/Disc Priest and the glut of Healadins in the Arena... so by-and-large this is what I'm going to speak on. Based on this experience I am of the opinion that saying that Disc and/or Holy Priests are overpowered in PvP is bad comedy.
To corroborate this point I've included a simple breakdown below of a healing Priest's defenses versus the focused attention of the entire &!#%$ other team:
Cloth (Generously classified as armor) vs. Do I really need to waste time on this one? Inner Fire (Armor buff... on cloth) vs. Please see above. Psychic Scream (Multi-fear) vs. [Insert fear negating trinket/spell/ability/racial here.] PW: Shield (Finite damage absorption) vs. Purge/Shield Slam/2 shots From just about anyone/Etc.
As you can see... under the most common of circumstances (i.e. focused fire) a healing Priests health generally hits zero almost before they have a chance to touch their mana. As such, I fail to see how anyone could conceivably label a healing Priest as overpowered in any PvP situation... much less how their mana has anything to do with anything.
Now... Healadins... this is alot more simple. Heals + Plate + Finite Invulnerability = Win. There's your OP... siccum!
Again... I can't get into the nitty-gritty on healing Shaman and Druids... but it seems to me that being able to use mail armor & a shield and being able to sprout a platoon of trees to defend you, respectively, have to be considered as significant aids to survival.
So maybe 3 out of 4 healing classes are overpowered in PvP... I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that one is. But including healing Priests is a joke.
Shaman Totem Discotheque FTW... except I drop mine in their default locations around me and dance like a cat on a hot tin roof. The fun factor rises in proportion to how many other Shammies you can get doing the same thing with you. :)
I hate your trolling... and could you please use capitalization?
@The topic.
I tried Tabula Rasa the moment it came out and found the pre-release hype disproportionate to reality. I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was. I could go on and on about why, but I'm sure (I hope) that it's myriad shortcomings are already posted all over the internet. I haven't really looked.
Anyway, I'm not going to try another MMO unless it's made by Blizzard or it's post-release hype and subscription numbers prove to me that it truly doesn't suck.
I agree with the poster that said that jumping on board with any other MMO is going to amount to beta testing by another name. Most people can't begin to comprehend the amount of polish that WoW has... all those patches and other changes over the course of WoW's life have ruined us for games that don't have the luxury of a 5+ year ongoing development cycle. WoW is like an empire, someday it will be gone... but it's nearly impossible to imagine when or how it will happen.
Is it just me or do most of these changes represent the ditching of +Spirit for things like spell damage/healing and such as that?
I've always had a hard time seeing the value of Spirit. I know it's important, but it's not nearly as visible the +mana for Intellect, +health for Stamina or even the +crit/dodge you get from Agility.
It makes me wonder if Blizz plans to change the way Spirit works, since so little gear is going to have bonuses too it going forward.
Maybe we'll notice it when it's gone, or nearly so eh?
"Okay, Elder Mphgrwl you'll be serving your mission in Dun Morogh. Elder Grthorq you're going to the Eastern Plaguelands. And Elder Rwrwrwrrr you get to convert the heathens of Booty Bay. I'll see you all back here in two years. Break!"
"How does Cairne have a son? Is he married? Is anyone in Warcraft married, or do the kids just sort of spontaneously generate?"
o.O
Do you really think that children come from marriage alone... .you should fire your mother for feeding you such a bullshit story about where babies come from.
