I suppose that this was meant to read "Duel" not Dual?
Confused

Reshaping a zone: LotRO dev diary covers Evendim revamp

Oh and why does it say "Univerified" next to my posts?
I have been posting here for years now, but somehow my account is not working correctly anymore?
Anyone who can help me with that?

Reshaping a zone: LotRO dev diary covers Evendim revamp

The water in LOTRO is still the most beautiful I have seen in any MMO. Even AOC does not do it as well as LOTRO does. The lakes in Evendim show this so beautifully!

GDC 2011: Funcom talks The Secret World's PvE, PvP, and ARG

IMHO they should have a serious word with their graphics artists. The cut scenes are great, but the in game graphics are not that great. The characters that I saw (not very close, but close enough) all dont have wide enough jaws in the back (not sure how to say it any better). That makes them look rather odd.
The color palette of the levels is debatable, but that I guess is a matter of taste. I would heve preferred more of the realism of Age of Conan. Compared to AOC the graphics are a big step down.
I hope that the character customizations allows for the tattoos that we saw in the first prerendered trailer (piercings would be cool too). It would certainly fit the modern world.
Not sure how much character customization there will be though (they have not said much).

More of the same F2P crap with the same idiotic, asian graphics style and the same crappy grind heavy gameplay.
Fun, fun, fun

The Daily Grind: Are MMOs too over-sexualized?

Aug 23rd 2010 10:41AM (Massively)
The ridiculous female armor is especially visible in eastern MMOs, IMHO.
This is one reason why I dont like them.
It just looks stupid and unbelieveable. I think it is sexist too.

The Old Republic's space combat detailed in PC Gamer

I find this very lame as well. I think that Bioware should hold back on this part of the game and put the necessary amount of thought and time into it. If done well, then space flight can be much more than just plain combat missions. What about asteroid mining, space stations and maybe the exploration and looting of ancient space battle fields for spare parts and lost cargo?
Stuff like that would require a free roaming ability and are impossible with an on rails system.

The Road to Mordor: Near-Death Adventures (NDA) lifted!

>>Taking a look around, it's a little disheartening to see that a long of the things in game (faction mounts, cosmetics, emotes) that people would normally work so hard in-game for are now available for purchase. >>

Yeah, what happened to "only cosmetic items" and "nothing that will affect gameplay" and "not going to change anything for current players".
Just as I predicted it weeks ago, LOTRO is going down the F2P shit lane.
Well done Turbine! I havent logged in since the announcement (though I had a full two months on my gamecard) and I wont logg in anymore, ever the way things are going.
This game was so great and I loved playing it. It was the perfect game for me. There were almost no things that I would have changed. Now it is just another "the richest bastard is the best" kind of F2P- trapp.
The free is in Free to Play is of course a joke anyway. It is amazing how people will eat sh@t if it is only served to them nicely by a good marketing department.
ROFL.
I have not seen anything (screenshots or videos) that showed me any real benefits of DirectX11. I again sense marketing bullsh@t, served to easy victims.
They read DirectX11 and are hypnotized by the emperors new cloths.
Brilliant feat Turbine. I just hope that this wont backfire, when the F2P players have played the free demo part until they are bored and then wonder off to a new temporary toy, while the former solid playerbase has left you in disgust about this business practice of yours.

[Rumor] World of Darkness MMO may emerge from the shadows soon

Excellent, just in time to replace LOTRO after that whole F2P debacle...
Cant wait for this to come out!
