I think the game you describe isn't WAR though.

There are plenty of other games on the market where story, exploration, and character attachment are huge contributing factors.

WAR is about epic level OvD. RvR. PvP. It's main focus is "get out there and kill other players".

LOTRO does it beautifully. EQ is a great story based game.

But WAR just isn't that. So, you're dissappointed in something that was never promiced. Since day one, RvR has been there focus. What you're commenting on is a promice they never made.

Man, I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer, but I just feel like they are being REALLY ambitious with this game. The last game that promised this much variety and vast immersion was a little game by Funcom. Look what happened there. I seriously hope that they can pull this off. B/c it’s not the MMO fans they should fear. Trekkies are insane.
