It makes my heart swell to see people got the Bowie lyric :D Smart work Krystalle! Also, yes.. Bowie MMO would be fantastic, maybe even in the form of some Venture Brothers since he IS the Sovereign

WoW 5th Anniversary Giveaway: Spectral Kitten loot code

New Halloween masks point to a new playable race?

Jul 17th 2009 7:31PM (WoW)
Those "werewolves" totally look Feline. I don't think Worgan race, these are total Cat People, a fantasy staple. Another race out of left field for blizz, and yeah, just like Retconned Draenei. I think Ally will get these cat people to lend them some fierce beasty race and Horde'll, of course, get gobbo's provided that either are, in fact, going to be a player race. Probably a Gobbo splinter faction that breaks off from the classically neutral Gobbo princes. If Gobbo's are going in, though, this almost definitely points to Cataclysm being the expansion and taking place in and around the Maelstrom since that's where the Goblin Trade Princes hang out.

Kudos to the Dead Space girl chat bubble. I think this offers definitive insight into not only her facial expression, but her innermost thoughts as well.

Micro-transaction model a possibility for WoW

Jul 5th 2009 4:47PM (Joystiq)
I agree, I don't think they'll micro-transaction gear. Possibly something to level faster and unlock content that subscribers get for free, I'm sure they'll refine what Turbine's doing if WoW ever goes microtransaction, because I don't think Blizz is ballsy enough to throw microtransaction while the game is still in subscription mode only. In any case, it's easy to upset a player base of millions; can't please everyone. But Blizzard didn't make their cash by being stupid and unresponsive to what the majority of their players want, and I don't think they'll start anytime soon.

Micro-transaction model a possibility for WoW

Jul 5th 2009 3:11PM (Joystiq)
I think Blizz understands that WoW will eventually die down, and in that case they'll be ready to shift it into f2p with micro transactions mode. They'll release their new mmo, most of the people will jump to either that or another shiney mmo, WoW's subscriber base will look like EQ1 and in a year or so after that Blizz will shift it to F2P since they'll have another subscription mmo they're developing for going full steam.

'It was obvious!' ... Meet Team Fortress 2's Spy

May 17th 2009 11:21AM (Joystiq)
haha yeah, I think that gets my vote for the best. The sniper was my previous favorite, weird that my two favorite "Meet the" characters are now updated at the same time.

Behold and believe: Namco's Muscle March in motion

Yeah true, there is a difference in sensabilities in Asian countries. I recently went to South Korea where there's all kinds of weird (to my puritanical western sensibilities) double standards. Once again, homosexuality is looked down upon there, but two grown men hugging or holding hands as they walk down the street is A.O.K. because those gestures or more intimate in our cultures I suppose where in Korea they're just friendly.

Personally I agree with Crayfish, running through walls doing muscle poses IS awesome heh. It is possible that plenty of signals are getting crossed with the insane amount of half naked men and rainbow graphics, but I'll leave those up to everyone's personal interpretations. For sheer crazy factor, I hope this game somehow wanders over to American shores without some kind of conservative organization interference or heavy editing ("This is great, but how can we have less half naked men and more killing and blood? I'm not comfortable with rainbows but I'm plenty comfortable with a field of corpses!")

Yatta! Your lame PC will run Street Fighter IV, specs revealed

Does anyone else think 10 GB of hard disk space is a lot for this game to require. I expect that kind of space from excessive RPG's with tons of maps and stuff.

Tez knows what's up. NICE MUSCLE! Indeed.

The really funny thing is that many Asian countries look really harshly on homosexuality, yet they produce things like this. Oh wacky fun.
