Mechwarrior reboot will be PC exclusive

Oct 31st 2011 7:00PM (Joystiq)
Here is the question on my mind, whatever happened to the supposedly free downloads of the earlier Mechwarrior games while they were working on this reboot? did I simply miss out??

Torchlight 2 priced at $20, final class revealed

Aug 26th 2011 10:04AM (Joystiq)
I will playing this instead of Diablo3, Blizzard has ruined the Diablo frachise for me with their poor choice of always on DRM. Thank you Runic for the first Torchlight which was amazing, and now following it up with what looks to be a great next step.

As Apsac said, $20 is a steal for this game, looking forward to many hours playing with friends.

Second wave of BlizzCon tickets goes on sale tonight

Not worth the trouble, last year was terrible, they even skimped on the beta key hand outs, some fat man was practically boo'd off the stage when he made the announcement... maybe we should have rioted? lol regardless. last year was my first and only Blizzcon, met some guildies and we pretty much all agree, for the amount of money it costs us overall to get there, we could pool the money and do a nice vacation somewhere. Good luck to those of you interested. Have fun with the queue :P

Wear a Twisted Pixel costume to PAX East for chance to appear in a game

Jan 13th 2011 12:18AM (Joystiq)
why even bother with PAX east period? the convention was overcrowded last year, the enforcers had terrible communication, overall it was poorly implemented :( I was sad when they shuffled the opening line all the way up to the top level just to be met by a sign "main theatre for keynote is full". I wont bother but hey everyone else, have fun!

Activision Blizzard posts better-than-expected Q3 results: $51m in profits on $745m in revenue

Nov 4th 2010 7:46PM (Joystiq)
$51m in profit and they still couldnt be bothered to put on a decent Blizzcon this year... yes... lets not forgot the "oh by the way 1000 of you were 'randomly' selected to receive diablo 3 beta keys" instead of past years where every loyal customer/fan who spent the 300-600 bucks just to get out there actually got something semi-worth their time... Sadly as mad as I am, they do make enjoyable games, by definition they are entertainment... slowly degrading into just another crappy game company instead of the great deliverer of quality gameplay experiences like they once were... but still for now at least, they provide entertainment.

I chose the $125 package, I honestly considered the $200 package even though I know i'll never be in Chicago, however I would like to see these printed! Spread the word about these :D

Cryptic answers your Star Trek Online questions

Nov 16th 2009 6:54PM (Joystiq)
Cryptic.... you mean that terrible company that promised Champions Online liftime subscribers they would get closed beta access... yeah. I'm totally a sucker for submitting to it but eh, I wanted to check it out, and Champions was a fun game as well. Anywho, don't trust Cryptic, half the time they're not even sure what they're doing!

Miyamoto a 'big fan' of Star Fox, says series popularity on the decline

Oct 28th 2009 9:04PM (Joystiq)
Starfox Command was a terrible travesty, what the hell they were thinking when they conceived this monstrosity is beyond me, but i HATE IT! HATE HATE HATE You never had to fuel up an arwing in the past, who the hell ever though it was a good idea to add that 'feature'? btw, i never played assault, i LOVED Starfox 64, i can sit down and play through that game over and over and over they should really go back to basics, thats where they had a good working formula.
