Patch 1.15a live for Final Fantasy XIV

Feb 2nd 2011 10:12PM (Massively)
I suppose they're on the right track. I've started logging in now and then and am enjoying it a lot more than I did at launch.

I'm reluctant to really dig into it at this point, though. I haven't touched crafting or even messed with the class/job system yet... But I'd love to see them turn this thing around in the next few months.

I think I'll decide whether I'm good or evil once I have the game. :)

@Brockobama123
So, what do you think of Ubisoft's DRM system, Brockobama? If you're going to take the moral high ground and boycott Activision, you should probably re-examine some of the business practices of the company you're touting as the lesser evil.

And if it doesn't bother you, then don't be surprised when other people are willing to still buy Starcraft 2 - otherwise you're getting into "pot calling the kettle black" territory.

APB to overhaul driving and combat

It's good to see that they're working on it - but I really don't understand how this is something that isn't brought up during beta.

Light on content? That's usually expected. A couple of missing features, maybe. But I find it hard to believe that they had to wait until reviews came out to realize that there are complaints about something as fundamental as shooting/driving mechanics.

Just pre-ordered the Collector's Edition. =)
Amazon's giving a $10 credit on a future game purchase when you preorder, like they seem to be doing for most big games lately.

@spencer8ab:
Steam also divides their games into Mac and PC categories - not Mac and Windows.

I can't think of a single pay-to-play MMO out there that doesn't require payment info when you register a product key...

There may be some out there, but they would be exceptions to the rule.
