WOW! Didnt see this one coming. Looks fantastic and great fun. If the game turns out to be anything like the footage we saw this game will be lots of fun.
Im hoping there will be lots of staged attacks on bases etc that you can get called into. Would be great to get a comm message saying X base is under attack and you've been retasked before getting picked up in a drop ship :) Ah the possibilities!
@Oghowie I think its more down to we simply arnt really used to the apps/ui yet. Those of you with ZuneHDs will be better prepared in that regard but still you wont have used office/emails in this iteration.
I doubt the vast majority will have problems once they have a little play around. Im very impressed so far with how clean things look on the devices.
Like Battlefield 2 before it, because you have to use an account tied to your profile and account key and play on ranked servers to gain progress its alot harder to pirate which is great.
The setup is more similar to an MMO than that of a traditional Online FPS.
Who was actually going to buy a console version over the PC version (if you have a decent enough PC) anyway?
Like most if not all FPS games; they are suited to PC over consoles. Consoles are great to just pick up and play, easily and quickly. But if you're really getting into a game and can afford a good PC then the PC can offer alot more if the game supports it.
Likewise with Battlefield 3 when it comes out, it will be better for the PC than the console with larger maps, player limits (possible 64vs64?) and tighter control. Its not to say that console FPS suck, but in general if you want to be at your best, you'll be playing on the PC.
Announcing Daft Punk will makes a big difference to a lot of people i think, myself included. Before i wasnt interested in the slightest but with a bit of electro robot love i may just pick it up. Now to hold out for Deadmau5 haha
Pass. I was looking forward to picking one of these up but honestly i prefer the original bohemoth. Price isnt really an issue so with any luck i can grab a big'en whilst they are still around.
That tornado video was a tech demo for intel you f**king tool, pre-made for that job using the level designer. It also showed day night cycles in seconds too but go figure, that isnt in the game either.
