The very first toon I rolled in WoW is still my main. I just can't get myself to abanon her. Even when my guild needed me on my tank, I left the guild on my main to continue her raiding, and still tanked on my alt for my guild. I am however working on getting all classes to max level just so I never get bored of playing my main. There are people out there like me, and there are people who switch their main every chance they get. There's nothing wrong with being either of them, so if you don't want to switch, there's no reason to feel obligated to do so.
I cannot wait for Challenge Modes. Glory of the Cataclysm Hero: myself and some guildies leveled up and just went straight for that stuff. I dug through my achievements and found that I got the achievement one month after dinging 85, and before I got the achievement for ilvl 359. I must say, it was fun because it was challenging!
Ah Shaz... wonderful, wonderful Shaz... I remember the whole raid forming a circle around him, and us poor melee wondering why Blizzard hated us so much. I would throw my thrown (of which I had more than one stack on me for MC runs [remember that? when they freaking stacked?]) at the boss for 10 minutes while the ranged chipped away at him. After we got more geared (BWL status) they let the best 5 melee into the constant AoE to make the fight better, that was when pants-shitting-fun happened. =p
I'm sure their intent was to use our level 90 talent as a filler for when some phase of a boss requires us/the boss to move out of melee range, just so we don't feel completely useless during it. But the thing I feel most excited about is getting Shadowstep as a combat rogue. I've been combat for most the life of the game, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay combat, so being able to jump to targets for switching is going to be a very grassy icing on a very Pandaren cake.
I'm a woman. My very first (and still main) character back in Vanilla was (is) a combat rogue. After that I got a mm hunter, a resto druid, a tank dk, an elemental shaman, a mage. Eventually I want to have one of every class. I like mixing roles up because it adds variety. The style of playing each class is so varied, that it keeps me quite entertained. I was once on my hunter (who is a male character) and was asked if I was female. I asked why and they said that "90% of females play night elf female hunters." I asked if they realized my toon was a male and told them my main was a rogue, their response was "lol ur not in the 90% then" and logged off.
From personal experience, I think there is a pretty solid mix of men and women who heal, tank and dps.
I'm completely addicted to transmog as well... But fortunately I am a HUGE fan of tier setsand their recolors. Every single alt is rocking some sort of tier recolor. My druid has blue/gold Stormrage. My DK has Might, Wrath, Judgement, Lawbringer, and working on Lightbringer recolors... my rogue (main) has tiers 1, 2, 4-13 and everything in between. Void storage solved a huge problem of space.... But then I just filled it up with more crap! WTB another void storage tab please!
Oh, I shall miss thee insane poison macro. What's better than figuring out a macro that has all your poison needs in one macro? I'm going to take this time to show off a little bit: 2 macros for pve/[pvp] nomodifier: instant poison/[wound poison] shift: deadly poison/[crippling poison] ctrl: wound poison/[mind-numbing poison] alt: crippling poison
left mouse click would apply it to my main hand, right mouse click to my off hand and middle mouse click to my thrown! And I lied, I won't really miss the need for a macro for poisons. I'm glad it's going to be a one-touch deal.
But this time I'm not lying: I WILL miss throwing my Stolen Vrykul Harpoon around and watching a million harpoons flying out during a FoK.
