my opinion is this, if you made it to lv 17 and the game didnt keep you wanting to come back, whos fault is that? yours or the games?

we play games to have fun, its funny that fans of games attack others for not forcing themselves to play a game to the end which could cause displeasure.

so, the burden of fun lies in the game because you invested ample time (as did, i having made it also to my high teens) into this game. if you werent inspired to play on then either the games genre is not for you or the game has poor design flaws.

how could it ever been the gamers fault? if i find a game thats fun, no matter how popular or un-popular, im going to play it. i was once a fan of WoW, and i know thats not the most "hip" thing to say now because theres actual games out now that have evolved more in my opinion. where as back in '04 you had anarchy online, dark age and EQ2. so of course most of us would choose a game with no between combat down time and a fun aesthetic.

Assassin's Creed 2 PC delayed to 2010

Sep 25th 2009 3:18AM (Joystiq)
sick of the best platform of gaming being developed for like adding a place setting for a late dinner guest that you forgot you invited...

dragon age- (PC version held to coincide with console)
borderlands- (consoles out, EVEN THE PS3, on the 20th, PC version a week later)
and now assassins creed 2, in which i wanted to get AC2 on PC because i loved AC1 on PC. i played it first on 360, re bought for 20$ on PC.

anything else getting effed over for the mediocre consoles???

BioWare 'caught up' and 'pumped' on PS3 development

BS!!!
im so sick of bioware's "stock" politically correct answers to everything. i just dont get the sense that anything they say is not necessarily a lie, but just not divulged from a place of truth... no developer likes developing for 3 to 4 platforms at a time for a game. ultimately something will suffer for it. either the games will suffer because of lack of man poweer/ hours, or if you throw gobs of money and people at it then your slaving your employees...

im afraid of what bioware might become.

Joyswag: Fable 2 'See the Future' DLC [update]

May 11th 2009 10:20PM (Joystiq)
i foresee in my future my dog dying. i will be so distraught that i will leave my house with nothing but a travel cup full of coffee and the sword of aeons. i will find an odd resurrection site and bring her back.

then we will go adventuring for buried treasure and i will read books to her which will make her better at fighting my boss off and pissing on his leg.

The Daily Grind: Penny for your Tabula Rasa thoughts?

complete shame!!! i bought the game about early this year, jan-march? played the free month and have been meaning to play ever since that time was up. liked what the game was on paper and felt that after a few patches it would be great. well after i found the game priced for a buck on amazon i decided to buy a copy for my brother so we could both play it together. i mean they JUST released the FPS aspect update and now theyre canceling? BAD MOVE NC soft!!! at least reward your developers time to rake old players back in, LIKE MYSELF, for all theyre hard work making this game even better. such a shame. the game reminded me of EQ2 when it launched and im seeing as much IF NOT MORE elbow grease being rubbed into TR than EQ2 per capita. and we saw where EQ2 eneded up, on the better side of some rough waters and hard work. i think TR could have ended up there as well. ultimately whos fault is this? i MUST say NC soft's for not giving a little more time to this project for all the hard work recently put into it.

to the developers.

you made a different game. what few devs have the balls to do in this day and age of safe rehashes and unending franchises. you created a world where nothing was taken for granted. when i logged in i felt as though i was experiencing something i had never before. that felt really good. unfortunately thats being taken away now by some corporate suit who let numbers decide the fate of such hard work. and not the work of said game itself!!!
i hope you all find employment in another company that will respect your work.
cheers and godspeed.

while it would be easy for me not to think too much about this question and just act brave and honorable saying i would fight the bane, i shall play devil's advocate.

i think it would be really easy to be pisspants scared of the bane and not want to sign up to join the front lines, but i think once i was over that initial fear of an unknown species, that rules through violence, i would tell myself this is is our last chance!

our last chance for the human species to defend itself before its own ruin, annihilation and ultimately being wiped away from the galactic collective forever. once that was understood i think it would fill the veins, of many otherwise scared humans, with ice and fire, willing themselves to take a last stand against one of the most incredible foes ever to stand between us and our future generations existence!!!

ultimately i would go, only after going through a couple boxes of huggies...
