The OverAchiever: Guide to Children's Week 2011

May 1st 2011 8:58PM (WoW)
Well, so far I've had griefers on my own side complain about achievement seekers, yell at them to quite playing and try to stop us from getting the achievement. For example, one guy just grabbed the flag in EotS and ran off, refusing to return it the entire time.

My wife isn't huge on PVP, but it's the only achievement she needs for Long, Strange trip. She couldn't get it last year, and it's not looking good so far this year.

Breakfast Topic: Goodbye Hallow's End, hello Day of the Dead

My wife, our roomie, and I really, really wanted the reins- we'd returned to WoW with new chars after a break of several years and started up at about last Halloween- and no luck at all. We all got the Hallowed achievement and came very close (4-5 masks) to the mask achievement, but it's the reins that really sting. One of our guildies didn't get it on any of his 8 80s.

I was actually disappointed with Lich King; I'm a relatively casual player, and I resubscribed partly due to the hype. There was little for me there.

Law of the Game on Joystiq: Much Ado About Game Night

Jun 13th 2008 8:14PM (Joystiq)
I had a few responses to this in the Gamepolitics column. One of the things I will mention is that at least one of my colleagues argues that playing a video game might not be considered a dramatic performance, which would allow libraries to use 110(4). This is, of course, outside the EULA issue.
