@Brian333 If you haven't already tried it, you really need to get a copy of Frozen Synapse.

Frozen Synapse coming to iPad in 2012, Mode 7 hopes

This is great news. The game is perfect for that platform.

PSP and Vita can talk to each other

It's always nice to see a father and son communicating. Cherish this time, PSP. You can't play catch with him forever...

The Soapbox: The road (much) less traveled

Apr 26th 2011 5:00PM (Massively)
In theory I like to travel around manually, but it's just not all that exciting. A couple quick points and alternative examples:

1. Mount riding feels kinda boring: pick up a copy of the western game Gun and ride the horse in that game for a few minutes. No MMO mount comes even close and that game is like 6 years old.

2. (usually) There isn't a whole lot to do on the road: and I mean as provided by the game, not inventing stuff to do. For an alternative, try Red Dead Redemption. I think they did a decent job (for a start) at providing interesting (and beneficial!) activities while on the road. Give me something fun to do while I'm on the road, and I'm there.

Vivox doubles user base, now serves over 45 million

Feb 16th 2011 2:08PM (Massively)
Some friends and I used Vivox's client Voon for several years and it was a really great fit. The site disappeared, so while anyone with an account and the client installed can still use it, we can't add people. Shame, great service.

Anyone know a standalone VOIP service that uses Vivox these days?

By the way, we've tried renting a Mumble server but we just have constant problems configuring everyone's client. Not very out-of-the-box friendly, although the sound quality is by far the best.

You can put a price on Love, and that price is now 10 euros

I'd like to hype this to some friends but I feel like that tutorial fails to show the purpose of the game. Like he mentions something about defending. Yeah I need a video of that.

Anyone know a good video that "sells" this game? With a title like Love it's kind of hard to search for.

First off, EFFFFF the draenei. I hate everything about them. I'm a total anti-draenite. Now, have you considered Shadowbane? Check this, son!

I'm curious about the graphical overhaul. Are there before & after shots/movies anywhere?

On a related note, the newest expansion is on sale for $5 on D2D:

Even if you're playing Extended, I think this raises your level cap from 80 to 90. Or something like that.

It also makes sense that she'd be talking about M-ratings. Know what I mean!
