I am not a banker in real life but I play one in my Online Games.

World of Warcraft had took a good idea, the auction house and made it accessible to many players. The players have made it's functionality better with addons like auctioneer and auctionator.

Star Wars Galaxies had at one time the best possible online economy game, insert rant here about CU & NGE.

Still the issues with "gold selling "will continue regardless of the game system. where you have computers you have hacks to the programs that allow unscrupulous individuals to cheat.

I would play a game with out an economy, but any economic behavior is human behavior and where ever you have a congregation of people, digital or otherwise you will have an economy.

Holy Crap what the fuck happened?

The game was touted as something different, something interesting, the trailers were off the charts and the hint pages were awesome....this crap looks like another basic MMO. Sorry but if this is going to be anything like this trailer...Not interested.

This is after the NGE was instituted and before they changed crafting.

Yeah, SWG. Shur the NGE sucked but it was not that idiocy that drove me to quit. It was Sony Online Entertainment's method of bait and switch. They sold an expansion, Trials of ObiWan, put in it some of the best Creature handler gear ever, and then 1 week after it was released, brought out the NGE which eliminated 2 of the classes I liked to play. I and the 10 other people I played with would have never purchased the expansion had the NGE been public knowledge. As it was it took alot of effort to get SOE to refund that money.

But that is history, SOE's business practices are still the same. They keep telling current SWG subscribers to stay with the game. They tell the subscribers that it will not close down when SWOR is released. They lie and everyone knows it.

So, I quit a game Company, I vote with my dollar and have never played a SOE supported game again, and I never will.

It is unfortunate that Jedi will be a roll-able starting class. It is one of the reasons SWG went to crap. Jedi should be a class that requires an unlock, otherwise you get, as with SWG, a preponderance of Force using players and not very many of the rest of the classes.

Just my opinion.

Oh I love this game.

This is going to be aton of fun plus I can get some friends in tot he game that have been hanging out waiting for a free trial.

Fallen Earth is kick ass.

Well, being that I have a banker in every game I play. Regardless of an Auction House or a Personal Vendor, it is far easier to make fake currency than real currency. Until that change is made to be the opposite, it will always be better to make the game and sell it for real.

It's really funny to me that "Achievements" & "Badges" are awarded for doing absolutely nothing. So you reach level 10 you reach level 80 big deal.... do something that takes time effort and determination. Then get an "Achievement" or a "Badge" .

Overall I wish the interfaces designed for these things were better, in SWG the interface is horrid and clunky, in World of Warcraft it's not much better and World of Warhammer... eee Warhammer it is still not much better than SWG.
