Yes the WoW UI borrowed ideas from other games, but the Alganon UI looks EXACTLY the same as the WoW UI. It isn't a new spin on the same old idea. It is a bad version of the WoW UI. All the way down to the keyring, options menu, everything looks EXACTLY THE SAME.
It's pretty apparent that you're either extremely terrible, or haven't played in high level matches. Balancing the game off of public pvp where there is no organization and very low overall skill level would be the worst thing hi-rez could do.
Robos are powerful, but can be easily pacified if you have an form of organization. Maybe you should stop tring to be a solo melee recon and play with some friends.
And the robo med station definitely does not heal more than a medic. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen someone say about the game ever.
I forgot to add, that I'm in an agency with almost 200 people and we have had maybe 2-3 people with performance issues. Stop generalizing things when they simply aren't true. The game runs perfectly on my year old machine at full settings. No crashing, no framerate drops what so ever.
Funny thing is that none of these are secrets. HiRez has been honest with the player base from the get go. If you went into the game expecting something else, without doing research, then that is your fault. They haven't tried to deceive us at any point. The game is what it is and plenty of people enjoy it, myself included.
You do realize that EVE is one of the only (if not the only) MMO not named World of Warcraft that has grown each year in subscribers? Also, the game averages 30k people online, but has over 300k subscribers? Also, CCP itself has grown as a company to have offices in 3 different countries? It's also developing 2 games outside of EVE, 1 mmo and one console FPS?
So it's obvious those "27k players" more than pays the bills. You can hate EVE as a game, but you cannot deny the success CCP has achieved with it.
I don't understand people complaining about content updates. They are still fixing issues every day, and just today put in a fix for the issue with retconning that people had. To think that they will not continue to fix bugs/balance issues over the next month, and just work on this update is silly.
Regardless, I love new content and am looking forward to this event. I'm enjoying the game a great deal. Keep up the good work Cryptic.
It's ridiculous to say that you have to AFK harvest/macro/bloodwall to have fun pvp experiences. There are tons of people playing Darkfall right now that don't do these things, pvp every night, and are competitive. The game isn't for everyone, but if the harsh nature of it appeals to you at all, you'll love it.
People love to trash it, which is fine. Those of us who are fans of hardcore pvp are having a blast.
