I actually enjoy all of the crazy effects going off in CoH and yes, I have lost my mouse pointer more than a few times. I always turn down the particle effects when raiding like the rikti ship and Hamidon (in the old days).
The most prominent Hellions are 'Duke" Mordrogar and 3K Kelvin, but are found in missions for level 5-9. Both of them actually show up in later missions, but are captives that need rescuing.
I've always wondered about that one as well. I remember when Statesman (most likely prematurely) mentioned Avilans, Incarnates, Blood of the Black Stream and the Coralax. The Coralax turned into an enemy group. Incarnates has actually found the light of day and turned into a gameplay feature. Still makes you wonder about Avilans and Blood of the Black Stream. Of course the latter one reminds me of the Big Trouble in Little China quote about the Black Blood of the Earth.
@Develyn I agree with Winter-home (Yule Festival Instance in Lotro) - I had a blast during the festival - performing plays with other characters, throwing snowballs, eating contests...
I've always been attracted to winter/snow zones in games. I love Forochel and the Misty Mountains.
I always wanted City of Heroes to create a huge winter-like zone. I remember when they turned on the ice for the first time allowing us to slide around on the various water surfaces. That was a ton of fun. CoH does have the fantastic ski lodge instance as well as the mission where you go rescue Baby New Year so big props to them for those.
