EVE player run lottery offers some of game's rarest ships

Dec 28th 2009 6:57PM (Massively)
@Dblade,

Ships of EVE has been legit the first three times around, but of course this is EVE Online so anything *could* happen, but I strongly doubt it will in this case. For what it's worth, I've already entered and I'm not worried about what could go wrong. Also, as stated by PeterD above, the guy who has the ships in his possession is fantastically rich in EVE -- there's nothing among the prizes he doesn't already have (or could easily afford) anyway.

10 mill is kind of an expense when you're new, but once you've played for a while that amount is pretty insignificant. I have no reservations about dropping a few million ISK for a shot at what's on offer with this lottery/raffle.

Hellgate: Tokyo, still not for you!

I agree. The core ideas behind the game in terms of backstory were good -- demons and dark arts mashed up with a modern post-apoc setting. Graphically I thought it was pretty nice too.

Some of the quest dialogue was very corny, that always bothered me, but all in all I always thought the game had some real potential. It didn't grab me enough to sub though, nor to get in on the Founder's offer (lifetime sub). Despite its flaws, I really did like Hellgate: London and was sad to see it go.

@ Slayblaze, I haven't looked into whether private servers are up and running but might be worth checking in to -- strictly for, uh, news coverage purposes of course. :)

Massively's EVE Online PLEX contest: "Enemy at the Gate"

Nov 24th 2009 10:19AM (Massively)
@ SWheeler, no entry will be invalidated by what another person writes so you don't need to be concerned about that. The contest is, however, one entry per person so it's what you wrote yesterday that we will be looking at when judging the contest.

I mentioned "paying" to clarify that the figure of 18,000 banned accounts does not include the free trial accounts banned as well.

Heh. No, we don't count. For anyone thinking of entering, it's easy and would be worth it for those pictured E-ON issues alone.
