I scaled back my game completely and unsubscribed from WoW. And then I scaled it back some more and uninstalled the game from my hard drive. And then I scaled back the rest of the way and destroyed the CDs.
The devs just put a lot more love, creativity, polish, and "badassness" into the Destruction side. Unfortunately, my guild decided to choose Order so we wouldn't have queues, and I'm fine with our classes, but having played both sides, it's painfully obvious that Order got the short end of the stick. We were an afterthought. =/ (Oh shoot, we have to have someone to fight... throw together some fantasy bits. Give them a meatball with legs and a limp-wristed dress-wearer for tanks. Mwahaha.)
Mythic needs to come to terms with the fact that they made one side really really cool and one side kinda lame and dorky. And this issue is so central to the game, that if they don't do something soon, I'm afraid the game will be ruined. Make changes now before Order starts rerolling Destruction en masse!
I would never even check out a game that uses RMT instead of a monthly fee. No interest. Why would any hardcore player choose a system that penalizes them for their passion?
Two things keep me from playing EVE: the interface and the community. Worst UI of any game ever? Possibly.
I would have continued to play despite that, but knowing that I could never catch up in power to the people who have been playing since the beginning, not being able to get my friends to play, and the very unfriendly community already in place there keep me from signing on.
Since I play a resto shaman and they didn't even bother to add a new healing spell for shamans, I'll be playing Warhammer. Yeah, 3 years playing a shaman, 2 of them spent in BC knowing how gimpy my toon is in pvp, and then Wotlk brings.... nothing. Wow.
I wold probably choose High Elf, mostly because at launch, the Dark Elves will only have 3 classes, with no tank, and the High Elves will have a tank and all 4 classes. I wouldn't want to be a clothie on the side with no tanks!
Blizzard has been pretty obvious about having their "good teams" working on new games, and their "B teams" on expansions... so I wouldn't expect to see expansions out any faster.
