Of course they are going to do what makes them money. They are, after all, a business. Businesses don't operate from the goodness of their hearts. They exist to make money.
And it only makes them money if people find value in it and wish to pay. So If they, as a business, want to make money by providing people with something that they want at a price they are willing to pay, what's wrong with that? It's exactly what they are supposed to do!
Because performance numbers are showing up to 10% performance increase. And just because you have lots of ram doesn't mean an app or game will use all of it.
Love the PvP, not so great PvE. But that's what they were shooting for. If I could get my WoW and SWTOR guild to switch i'd much rather play Warhammer.
@y0d4991337 There is no reality distortion field. I have many computers in this house and aside from the imac, i've built them all. I have no shortage of PC's I can game on. I also wanted a mac. The display is the best I own and it handles SWTOR maxed out, so why not use it?
@y0d4991337 Didn't cost me that much. I added the ram myself. But yeah, it's a lot. But the monitor alone is worth a grand. The rest of the computer specs don't make it that much more over building your own. And a 27" at 2560x1440 looks amazing.
@y0d4991337 I'm playing SWTOR on my mac now. Haven a Intel Sandy Bridge 2600, 16gb ram, Radeon 6970m 2gb. Plays fine. Not sure how my imac isn't for gaming.
