Frenzoo offers a new home for displaced Thereians

I would classify this project under social networking as it truly isn't a virtual world. I was just stunned I couldn't even make my avi walk! BTW, you guys should review "Bobba Bar" which is a virtual world on the iPhone.

Frenzoo offers a new home for displaced Thereians

Alright so I had to try this out and I'm really not sure what this actually was ... besides the fact that it was bad ... very bad. Why would the creator think this would attract "There" users? Did you try this out Tateru?

Google Lively was a jewel compared to this and everybody involved with virtual worlds knew from the start that if Google didn't step it up it would never survive which is didn't. You can't even walk in this "thing" or am I missing something? When I tried to go to a club I suddenly ended up in a regular text only Meebo chat room and all I could say was ... WTF!

I guess the video on their site should have been my first clue as it shows ... nothing!

End of life for Google's Lively

This was actually to be expected. Google did the right thing by closing it down as the plaform was REALLY bad. The next one to close down? Let's see how long Metaplace will survive as their implementation is simular to Google's. Sure you can do more in Metaplace but the navigation and implementation is simply once again not good enough to survive.

The 'SL' trademark: All those opposed?

SL.com told me that they were not in violating according to their trademark lawyers which was clearly all they cared about.

The 'SL' trademark: All those opposed?

A while back I was contacted by LL's legal department (and Robin) to "help us" in our quest to find a new domain name for SLProfiles.com. 2 months later, we eventually changed our site to ProfileSLive.com which was approved by LL. The only part that offended me was the fact that they were somehow trying to project this as a "good thing".

I'm convinced legally LL could have never forced us to change our domain name (since THEY promoted our site in the past). So why was I so stupid to change our domain name? Simply put - I didn't want to take the risk of loosing my account within Second Life due to a TOS violation.

To be honest, I still like my old SLProfiles.com name better and if I feel LL isn't being serious about this trademark bullshit, we WILL switch back...

For those have problems with Oblivion or other LONG load times --- you need to DEFRAG your X-Box 360.
