Massively.com giveaway: EverQuest II prize pack

EQ2:
I find there to be a depth and thoughtfullness to the character
classes that make replaying the game as an alt a new experience each
time.

Additionally the end game content has some very unique encounters
often requiring strategy and discipline over pure spank and tank.

The new guild halls are great as well.

The Daily Grind: How was the first weekend of AoC's open beta for you?

May 5th 2008 11:02AM (Massively)
I am playing on a lower end system but once I found the cntl\ i was uble to get almost 20fps. To bad the patch seemed to remove this functionality (I mainly disabled foliage).

I was able to have long play times before the patch but after the patch my client has been very unstable and crashes often.

I am enjoying the game dispite its "beta" condition.

Player vs. Everything: Choking on graphics

May 2nd 2008 5:59PM (Massively)
It seems to be, after only a few hours in AoC beta on a "lower spec" system, they could make the game more playable with just a few more graphics options.
Stop with the flowing plants.
Allow me to disable virtually everything, including the desity of the plantlift.
I don't care if the game looks supre crappy on setting I choose. Every MMO I play eventually gets turned way down for raiding ect so if I choose for it to look like crap and still play, because I love the playstyle, then let me!

So far AoC is fun to play and I like combat and I understand this is beta so I am willing to put up with it. But, AoC, read your boards, read this post, make it more playable on lower end systems.

Great article by the way.

peace,
Ghreen
