I don't see a problem with having multiple mains. Or rather, I think the concept of 'a main' is one that lost it's meaning sometime during BC.
During Wrath, I had a healing priest I raided with, My resto/elemental shammy was the one people saw me on most of the time (Questing/instancing/chatting in /G) when I wasn't levelling an alt and a warlock I did pretty much all my PVPing with. And the toon I'm most attached to? That's my hunter that was the first toon I levelled up during vanilla. She was 40 when BC hit and each expansion she's been the first toon to the new max level.
It is so ludicrously easy to gear up several toons without problems that the concept of a main is rather outdated IMO by now. If you genuinely only play one toon, fine, you have a main, but what if you have Several toons that you devote time to and which are all well geared and well used?
I personally disagree as well. I listen to podcasts on my way to/from work or while I'm doing other things and I suspect I'm not alone in this. Video casts are cool, certainly, but to be honest, I haven't seen many where I particularly wanted to stare at the presenters face for the duration of a pod cast.
As long as I don't *have to* add people I 'friend' in WoW to my FL on FB, then I'd be happy. And sending achievements to my twitter stream? Sure, why not...
"Keeping a sense of community while still meeting the needs of the community as a whole is a huge challenge for us."
It continues to crack me up each time I read that. Blizzard gutted the server communities when they introduced x-realm LFR & LFD. While it is immensely cool that I can chat to my mates that are playing other on other realms or other Blizzard games, it doesn't change the fact that A) Server comunities have been killed & B) They have enabled me to chat to the same people I can already chat to via MSN/phone or down the pub. So they have killed communities while just allowing me to chat to the same people I could already chat to.

This has been happening in LFD for ages as well. Which is one reason why I loathe it and wish I had an option to only be in groups with people from my own server.
Of monks, mains, and the ability to change
