I wish there was a "Report this post for being 100% exactly spot on!!!" My thoughts exactly Danteeeeee...
Also, this just cracks me up "And we have to occasionally decide that something needs to get moved because we would rather fill that space up with something that's more interesting to our readers than something that's less interesting."
It is web publishing for crying out loud...there are no space limitations...that is the beauty and advantage that hyperlinks and HTTP have over old school publishing...oftentimes we try to pigeonhole archaic thought process patterns from old systems into new systems/technologies...just cracks me up :)
"In Silverwood's favor is the fact that it contains two ports, while there's only one in Freemarch."
If by ports you mean "porticulums", Freemarch has had two for quite a while (was added in a previous patch)...also, with 1.5 (according to the patch notes) both Silverwood and Freemarch added and additional port for a total of 3...so I would say both areas are on equal footing with regard to this...and with the LFG it is very easy to try out the other faction's dungeon from those zones...another toss-up unless you consider the ambiance of Iron Tomb is 10 times better than the Realm of the Fae...
The sub fee is not holding me back... It's the inability to be able to have a free mouse look mode...you can't even scroll over the abilities in your hot bar to get a description to see what they do...and I found no way to change that fact while in the beta...nor could I find a way to have the "a" and "d" keys make my character turn left and right instead of strafe...I absolutely hate that setup...maybe it's the old-timer FPS player in me (e.g. Wolfenstein 3D, Doom), but I gotta have strafe be "q" and "e" and turn be "a" and "d"...other than those two hurdles the game looked interesting and felt solid...oh well!!!
The Road to Mordor: Anatomy of a failed quest
Nov 12th 2011 11:03PM (Massively)Wow, that's a serious flaw in design then...
And I guess it is obvious now that I have not stepped foot into Dunland yet :) I'm so far behind, lol...
