Trion reveals Laethys lore from forthcoming Infernal Dawn patch

Apr 3rd 2012 2:39PM (Massively)
@(Unverified) If you read some of the in-game books, they do mention other worlds, and explain how Telera is a world at the nexus point of all the elemental planes.

That there are other worlds that have been consumed, but Telera is special because of how much sourcestone is on the world.

Whether this is a hint future content patches or even expansions will take us to these other worlds or even the planes themselves remain to be seen.

WoWs lore talks about lots of worlds that the Burning Legion has consumed they the devs could go to, but they never have.

Heck, there's suppose to be one more major landmass on Telera called Shi-Ming that we haven't seen yet, and there's still large areas of land they need to develop still with what they already have.

But I ALWAYS wanted an MMO that has multiple large open worlds (Old Republic doesn't count, most of those worlds barely felt like worlds)

Angry Birds cartoon coming to 'all possible platforms' this year

If they were minute long segments that happened in between shows, I'd would be okay with that, but a full 22 minute show....Don't know how much story you can get out of birds that don't talk and just suicide themselves to kill ham.

TERA PvP battlegrounds won't be in at launch, delayed until 'late summer'

Mar 30th 2012 6:16PM (Massively)
I tried the Beta with TERA and I just wasn't impressed at all.
I mean graphically it looked amazing, but combat, quest structure, it was just...Meh.

Now I don't mean that it's bad. I didn't get time with PvP and I think, judging from the first questing zone that this game suffers from the "crap beginning" that plaques many MMOs (I'm looking at you Rift!) so it may have a really good end game.

But since it costs a monthly fee...Ehhhh...I see it being pretty successful as a F2P game.

@JohnD212 Uh... Then read the rest of the 1.8 patch. lol

If you think it's just a raid, you clearly haven't read the patch.

Pretty sad when the best thing released is a demo.

@(Unverified) Doubt it. That company is doing really well on PSN. All it's titles so far are mega hits.

A little short, but it does show of the tech well.

Silicon Knights: we never received any of Canada's money

@Miedox While I agree this is probably the case, I find in hilarious when "Ontario government" is put in the same sentence as "didn't want to keep handing money over if there was no real sign of progress".

My guess is the Liberals have no close friends at SK, or they probably would've gotten a billion dollars by now regardless of progress being made.

EA still in running for The Consumerist's Worst Company in America

@Kaemon I could say the same thing, as I'm talking about the companies being evil, not oil itself.

Or I guess I could say reading comprehension is nice.
