Ah yes, I still remember the Tinkerfests back in EQ on the FV server. The good old times :)

The Daily Grind: What's your favorite title?

Sep 23rd 2010 11:27AM (Massively)
My vote goes for "Crosser of Roads". Using this title ever since I received it :)
It's easier now to get the title, since they removed the stealth robbers from the roads in Evendim.

Free for All: Five popular cash-shop item types

The title of this post contains some sad irony:
What do "free for all" and "cash shop" have in common?
*sigh*

Free for All: Turbine's pristine payment plan perfects pay-to-win

Sep 16th 2010 1:52AM (Massively)
You cannot really "win" an MMO, therefore you cannot "pay-for-win" either.

But most MMOs are about "advancement".

And (sadly IMO), the LOTRO shop has several "pay-for-faster-advancement" items:

- pay for swift travel
- pay for stat tomes
- pay for potions
- pay for items with stats

Most people mean "pay-for-advancement" when in fact they use the term "pay-for-win".

The Daily Grind: EQ2X or LOTRO?

Sep 14th 2010 1:43PM (Massively)
I'll stick to LOTRO mostly, while occasionally hopping into EQ2X to get my Norrath nostalgia fix. :)

Looking good. :)
Half of these shots seem to be concept art though...

BioWare loses its SWTOR community manager [updated]

Afaik, the word "soon(tm)" appeared first in the statements of Brad McQuaid. So it's trademark should belong to SOE now, I guess. 8=)

Turbine actually were the first to call the new pricing model "free to play".

Seems it is a true open beta then. Good news :)
