The increased stats on the new gear and the increased power you get from the specializations more than makes up for the loss of those 3 slots. It's a good thing because it means less gear for you to grind.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I just can't play raid oriented games anymore. I don't like being dependent on a bunch of other people, I don't like spending all that prep time, I don't like playing the meta game, and I don't like staring at my hotbar as opposed to what's actually happening in the game.
CoH was my first MMO and I played it for over 2 years, but the graphics and gameplay are so dated compared to what's currently out there. Anytime I try to go back I get super bored due to the slow combat and repetitive content. If I get in the mood to play a superhero game I find that Champions Online is the vastly superior option.
They are definitely working on something besides CoH. If you go to their website they have job openings for a "Next Gen MMO" and some of the descriptions refer to "an exciting new IP."
How hard is it to get rid of the stupid "tagging" system and allow everyone who damages a mob to get credit for the kill? XP then becomes a function of damage dealt. City of Heroes figured this out 8 years ago.
Notch's new game is '0x10c'
Apr 4th 2012 2:31AM (Joystiq)Ah, I see. Threw me off since that's not a notation that would ever actually be used. Seems like the name should be 0x1000000000000.
