One Shots: Facing the uncertain future

I could have sworn that that's what Southwestern US actually looks like. The guy's not missing out on much for being post-apocalyptic.

Was fighting the comment system: sorry for the duplicate.

I suppose I should have realized it could be hardware, having ancient hardware myself.

Seriously? The hill looks fine. The sky and water looks fine. Maybe the statue looks fine up close, but from here? No shadows or shading of any kind. Bad, repetitive textures .. It looks so out of place. Take that crap back to '99.

CCP Games not abandoning older hardware users in EVE Online

I'm one of those that mko mentioned with an AGP motherboard and can't run Premium. I would love to get a new machine, but I can't justify the cost at the moment. I'm not sure that I'll be able to get a new machine within the year. I have other more important things to pay for. Hail damage and several other large costs this summer really put a hurt on my wallet. I just started playing last month, and it would suck to have the rug pulled out from under me. I'm actually glad to have a step up from Classic on the way, though. My machine is not so bad that it can't handle Shader 2.

Massively.com giveaway: Guild Wars-themed Razer mouse

It's nice to hear what's going on with MMOs other than the big names once in a while. One Shots would have to be my favorite article series, but I do also like the hands-ons and interviews.

The Daily Grind: should your gear determine your look?

Guild Wars used dyes too. It was good, but it'd be nice to have other parts customizable too, like GenBanks was describing above. Additional patterns and details on top of basic armor designs would be great.

The City of Heroes system makes perfect sense for the game, but I think it would be out of place in other games. CoX has an entirely different "loot" system.

Just now noticed this. Right under the wire, it seems. I tend to buy gaming stuff mostly from Best Buy.

Portable wubtertubes are always good. I've been wanting an ultra-light something-or-other for a while now.

Phosphor E Ink watch giveaway (part 3)

Boring copy/paste posts.. You ought to have had new questions each day. Anyway, I'd wear a watch again if I got this if only 'cause it's cool new tech.
