@Buhallin Back in the dark ages I played WoW, back then I wished there was an option to turnoff scantly dressed dark elf's that where dancing on every mailbox begging for gold. In every game there will be idiots abusing/polluting the system in some form or manner.
As far I know nobody at CCP ever claimed to sell DUST514, think the where pretty clear in previous statements the game it self is going to be free.
But even if the pull off to get 1 or 2 million active accounts, it's gonna turn the console & MMO market upside down. I'm really gonna sit back and take a serious look when DUST514 hits the market, these are going to be VERY interesting times.
I tried a bit of STO over the weekend now that it is f2p.
Space flight/combat is kinda okay. But the immersion is so.... so... shallow, and going to the bridge was the biggest disappointment I have ever had in a MMO. This game is structural crippled with with a lack of vision on what the star trek universe is. (and i'm not even a trekkie!)
The biggest joke in the game is the voiced commentary by "spock". The just dumped it in there somewhere with location triggers and did not even bother to connect it to game elements.
[offtopic] It's hilarious to see people talk about "realistic" space warfare when NONE of the games mention are realistic in ANYWAY.
[ontopic] Where talking rail or free from, free form would be that you have the choice to move where you want to go. And rail is a fixed destination. Both can be appealing, but the rail stuff I have seen so far in SWTOR makes me think it's nothing more then a game gimmick. Something for when your bored or do while waiting.
so... if it is a database issue, then explain to me that in eve online there is ZERO limit to your storage capability?
I think it has more to do with the fact that an NPC controlled market is not prepared for unlimited bag space. By limiting the bag space you raise the value of items among players. This works quite well for small scale regulated markets.
I'm missing one mining option in empire, burrow mining. There small combat sites that spawn everywhere in empire. The ones containing veldspar usually end with "burrow"
You can easily find them with the on-board scanner, or have a scout drop a probe to find them all in 1 go. And I have seen systems that spawn like 3 or 4 of them at the same time.
It works really well if you need huge amounts of tritanium. Takes about 3 hulks and a orca to clear one out in under 3 hours. Just keep in mind that once you kill the rats inside and you warp out, the site will despawn.
